So what exactly are Xero Apps? Well, if you are reading this then we guess you are either already using Xero or thinking about doing so. Xero is a cloud accounting software that allows you to manage your books and accounts from any device with users. What makes Xero interesting is the ability to integrate it with other software and platforms. You do this by connecting an app from the Xero App Store with your Xero account. Once setup and connected, the data in the app flows directly into Xero (and/or in the other direction) with very little need of input from the user. Think of it as automating many of your business processes.
What Kind of Xero Apps Are Available?
Incredibly, there are over 1,000 apps that integrate with Xero. Some are general apps that many businesses could use and others are specialist apps for a particular industry or business type. Examples of general apps are data extraction apps such as Dext, where the app will extract data from your invoices and receipts and upload to Dext, which then can be pushed through to Xero for reconciling. Other examples of general apps are cashflow management, expense automation, debtor management, bill automation and payment services. Specialised apps include inventory management, time tracking, apps for charities, tradespeople, landlords, clinics and many, many more. You can view the available apps on the Xero App Store.
